    1. As a fledgling librarian, the content of this book was obviously what drew me to it, and it did not fail to inform me about the most recent trends in libraries and how librarians are striving to "do more with less," the mantra we repeatedly hear in these times. It was well-organized and readable, and I was able to find the most relevant and interesting essays easily.

    2. Compilation of 34 short essays about various topics affecting libraries today. Easy to pick and choose which topics and essays to read. Essay authors work in all types of libraries. I especially liked the essay by J. James Mancuso who talks about "turning the box sideways". This variation of thinking outside the box can be applied to almost any situation.

    3. I enjoyed reading the book. The ideas were few and far between for the small, rural library. It did have a few ideas that we will be doing soon!
