    1. this is the text book from which i teach. i read it every day at school. it cracks me up. sextus est puer molestus? i mean, come ON! didnt the author know what kind of sick adolescent mind was going to be reading this? and lets not even get into uncle titus in ecce romani II who collapsus est because he was so incredibly ebriusis book is totally fun. you kinda have to drill the grammar into their skulls though or they begin relying on the "look at the picture and guess" strategy, which is not pa [...]

    2. Loved the book. It made things easy to understand and provided me with information I retain to this day.

    3. I enjoyed learning Latin through the Ecce Romani series in high school. It teaches through immersion into the language. Starting off with short stories using only basic conjugating and inflecting and slowly builds up to fully teaching concepts. You aren't overwhelmed with data which you must learn in one chapter to go to the next.

    4. Text book we're reading in school. It has an actual kinda-plot with characters so I'm justifying adding it. The only bad thing about this text book is that I learn phrases like mappa--the white cloth that is dropped to signal the start of a chariot race (yup, we were tested over that specifically at one point)--but don't know how to count to ten yetAnd the year's already over

    5. This is a pretty good book to learn Latin from.Very fun and good story, and it has pictures! for what thats worth. It's too bad my highschool doesnt offer a Latin 3 class, so im using another very good Latin book to teach myself as much as possible before college in two years. Salve et vale!

    6. How would I ever have learned Latin without Sextus? Not to mention that they were stuck in a ditch for about 20 chapters. (though that was in the next book, I think)Pink Socks!
