    1. This book is outstanding! Perfect for everyone, I especially enjoyed the fun fact for each bird. Every nature center and bird store should offer copies.

    2. Before you ever get to the birds, this guide has plenty of introductory material making the hobby accessible to young people, from necessary equipment to bird-watching manners in the field. I would carry this guide around with me, and I'm definitely putting it in my school library.

    3. really into birds right now (the little one) and so we are delving into guides. this is a great introductory bird guide with plenty of commonly found birds and fun little facts for the beginning birdernoculars and a guide to backyard birds is next on our list.
