    1. I enjoyed this book. However, if you haven't read "Don't Talk Back to Your Vampire" and "I'm The Vampire, That's Why", you won't find it quite as funny. This series of vampire novels are hilarious. They feature the stories of working single mothers whose town of Broken Heart, Oklahoma suffered an attack by rogue vampires. The Consortium (good vamps) came in on the heels of the rogues and saved those they could. Now Broken Heart is the first ever paranormal town. I find these hilarious because th [...]

    2. A human Paranormal investigator finds herself caught in the middle of a paranormal battle saved by a vampire and kissed by a dragon lady before her death. *That was only the first day. She is taken by the "others" to be studied, she seems to have collected some of the dragons powers and her vampire savior did as well. There is an extreme lust going on between the two, it's flaming things up in smoke. She remains a captive, while danger surrounds the compound. One dragon wants her powers, and ano [...]

    3. To be honest, this book was not good. It seemed as though someone published the outline for the book, rather than bothering to actually write it. Maybe the editors set a page limit and cut 1/3 of the original writing. I don't know, but the result was bad. Half of the book is dedicated to explaining the history of vampires, and the other half to the epic unfolding of a phophesy that makes hairdresser Eva the queen of vampires. Which leaves about 10 pages total for her romance with werewolf Gabrie [...]

    4. The third book in the Broken Hearts Vampire Series. The town of Broken Heart, Oklahoma is not your average town. After 11 of it's population were attacked on the same night and all turned vampire - the town underwent a shift to a Paranormal Community. This book features another one of the 11 that were turned - the town hair stylist Patsy Donahue. Patsy is kind of bored now that she is a vampire. She doesn't have to worry about bills since the consortium paid off everyone's mortgages and pretty mu [...]

    5. What. the. frick. I enjoyed the first two books, but this was just ridiculous. Honestly, I even liked the first half of this one. The second half felt too forced and rushed, though. Bardsley seems to have some kind of freakish crush on Mary Janice Davidson. She mentions MJD's books in each of the books in this series (so far), and in this one, Patsy is basically a white-trash version of MJD's Queen Betsy. Absolutely pointless. Not to mention that I am insanely tired of all the little "short stori [...]

    6. Mmm. I need to save most of my comments for the book club but I will say a few things. I started out not really enjoying the tone of the book, kind of silly and fluffy-what I didn't like about the Sookie Stackhouse book I read. I continued to give it a whirl since that was the premise of the book club-light reading. I enjoyed it enough, I especially liked the back story on the creation of the vampires, and some of the myths used. Not sure how much was based on research and how much was made up, [...]

    7. Patsy Donahue is just your normal beautician in Broken Heart, Oklahoma. Oh wait, she's not. She's a single mom beautician with a alchoholic druggie son who's a vampire. Not to mention she can see ghosts, talk to them, and pretty much make a zombie army. Let's not forget that there is one sexy werewolf-vampire named Gabriel who is hot and dangerous, and wants Patsy as his mate. Well, what the hell? She binds with him and truly loves him. But, Patsy figures out she's supposed to rule the vampires [...]

    8. I picked this book out only because it was available immediately from my library as an e-book, and I wanted free books to try out on my new Barnes & Noble nook over my vacation. But the writing was so bad I had to stop reading. It felt like a book outline or else the speed-written first draft that never actually got fully written. I found bits of it funny and amusing, but since I hadn't read book 1 or 2, the characters (which were more like character sketches than fleshed-out, fully formed c [...]

    9. I really didn't care so much for this one. It got bogged down with the mythology right in the middle of the story.I enjoyed Jessica and Eva's story, but this one felt it was lacking something. I really didn't care for Patsy and Wilson and the story just seemed like it built up to a 2 second finale and that's it. With all the back story, I expected more.

    10. Fun and enjoyable.Fast paced easy read. Characters are delightful and some are even a bit snarky. I recommend this book to anyone who loves vampires with a little sass.

    11. Plot holes, plot holes, plot holes. Entertaining read as long as you don't ask to many questions along the lines of how did they know to do that? or if that's a thing, why wasn't it done before? Also no character development. People just kept popping up because it was convenient for the 'Swiss Cheese' story.

    12. Really cute, more weird thrown into the mix. Adored the whole story. It had the right amount of everything and thankfully not too much of one thing or another.

    13. Because Your Vampire Said So features Patsy, a single mother, and newly turned vampire that is the town hair dresser. But even though she is part of the undead crowd, she still has to deal with her teenage son that is growing further and further apart from her. And there is an evil ancient vampire that is causing trouble for all of the Broken Heart residents. Before Patsy knows it she is being targeted by that ancient vampire and her savior comes in the form of a shapeshifter named Gabriel. It l [...]

    14. Fun readI really am enjoying this series. I like how each book so far introduces another resident of broken heart and tells their story while intermingling the characters we met in previous books.

    15. I didn't like this one as much as the others. The story moved way too quickly, there were like no transitions. One second she has absorbed 1 power, 5 pages later she has them all (okay that's what it seems like i didn't actually count). I also didn't like how she just fell for Whatsisname just instantly. Even though there was all the pretence about "Are you sure you don't just love me because we're prophesised to be together blah blah." That was just BS because like two pages later they're doing [...]

    16. Third novel in Michele Bardsley's Broken Heart series, which focuses on a supernatural community, starting with I'm the Vampire, That's Why. The story picks up the timeline directly after the events of Don't Talk Back To Your Vampire and is heavily reliant on the back story of the first two novels, so best to read the series in order to avoid spoilers and get the most out of the exposition and world building. This story felt a bit rushed and wasn't as good as the previous two novels, the insta lo [...]

    17. I actually enjoyed this and it didnt seem like it was 320 pages. Read fairly quick for me. I really liked Patsy. She's dealt with a lot in her life. Her son Wilson is a troubled teen and she doesnt know what to do about him. He's mean and does drugs and has essentially dropped out of school. He hates everyone it seems. It was actually kinda heartbreaking to see him suffering so much and Patsy. She's lonely and never has felt she was good enough. She's a beautician and only has a high school dipl [...]

    18. What is the book about? Patsy, forty-year-old single mom and hair stylist, is a vampire now. She has her hands full figuring out how to deal with her new lack of clients now that there are so few humans in Broken Heart, and with her rebellious sixteen-year-old son, Wilson. Wilson’s an emotional mess with a drug problem, not unlike his alcoholic father, and Patsy has no idea how to handle him.Suddenly all of that seems so simple by comparison when she finds herself targeted by demons and ancien [...]

    19. brokenheartok/Review of Broken Heart Series by Michele Bardsley:Welcome to Broken Heart, OK, home to Vampires, Blood Wolves, Shifters, Fae, Dragons and Werewolves. The Broken Heart series focuses on the Paranormals in the city. I would hate to be a kill joy. I have to say this was not my favorite series after book four. The first four books were great and I enjoyed them. They were a little one note in the first person department but the stories surrounding each female were fun and interesting, e [...]

    20. Too annoyed to look for something else to read, trying my damnest to enjoy it, still not studying, free-falling into a pit of depression. Results:I just wasted 5 hours of my life I will never get back. I liked this even less than the last one! Why you ask? let's review shall we: 1.Gabriel. He is a hunk, he is a loup-sang, he has the hots for Patsy end of character development. Yeah that's it he's completely flat. He isn't even big hero material as he seems more trusty canine sidekick than consor [...]

    21. The Broken Heart Vampire Series is a quick, fun-filled read and this is a series you just cannot pass up. You will enjoy every page until the very end.In BECAUSE YOUR VAMPIRE SAID SO, we have single mother Patsy who runs a beauty parlor as our heroine. I admit I did not like Patsy as well as Jessica and Eva, but she was still a fun character.Patsy is having some trouble. Patsy has a not so good relationship with her teenage son who is apparently turning out like her ex-husband, a druggy and she [...]

    22. another series bites the dust. i didnt have high hopes for this series-i expected a quick funny read. the first one gave me exactly that. sadly i think the author may have spent all her energy (and to be honest maybe even all her talent) on the first one. Other than the well developed vampire mythology i really didnt find anything good to say about this one. the heroine is bland with no real redeemable qualities. im not opposed to a heroine who lives in a trailer and has no formal education but [...]

    23. What I Loved: I am really digging this world setup in Broken Heart. While these books are definitely fun and campy, they do manage to bring light to some very important topics: 1rs book-infidelity, 2nd book-teenage pregnancy, and this one Drug/Alcohol addiction. Michele has done a wonderful job of mixing the humor, vamp/werewolf/hybrid goodness, and some awareness in her books. Plus, she mentions the show Supernatural in this book (great taste there LOL)What I Liked: I really enjoyed all the sec [...]

    24. The Setting -- is still Broken Heart, Oklahoma. You see a lot of Patsy's hair salon and her trailer and a few other places you may or may not recall from a previous book. The Characters -- are still as endearing as ever. I really did like Patsy; then again I grew up knowing this type of character in real life, so I had an excellent mental video of what Patsy was doing and how much hell she was raising. Her love interest, Gabrielle, didn't impress me as much as I would have liked. I will say that [...]

    25. Patsy Donahue is one of the Broken Heart Eleven - single parents from the same town all recently turned into vampires. Now, not only does she have to worry about her rebellious teenage son and her struggling hair salon business, but she also has to worry about getting her butt in bed before sunrise. And much to her dismay, Patsy’s destiny has even more in store for her. When a gorgeous rogue werewolf comes to town and protects her from a fanatical vampire and their servant demon, Patsy can’t [...]
